Screen Savers/Backgrounds

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) has created a number of free underage drinking-related screen savers and desktop backgrounds for you to download.

Instructions for using PLCB screensavers:

System Requirements

Mac Users

  1. Mac OS 8.0 -09.2
  2. 800x600 screen resolution
Windows Users
  1. Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000, XP
  2. 486 processor or faster
  3. An 8-bit (256 color) VGA graphics card or better.
  4. 800x600 screen resolution

How to Install the Screensavers

Installation for Mac Users
  1. Open the PLCB Screensavers folder.
  2. Open the Screensavers for Mac folder.
  3. Select one of the grade level folders and double click to open.
  4. Double click the setup icon to install the screen saver.
  5. You will be alerted that you must restart your computer before you can view the Screensaver, click OK.
  6. A properties window for the screensaver will open and you can set the desired amount of time for inactivity to activate the screen saver.

Time change:

  1. Open the system preferences folder and locate the control panel folder.
  2. Open the control panel folder and locate the ScreenTime Screensaver icon.
  3. Double click the icon to open the properties window and enter a new time for the delay.
  4. Close the window and restart.

Windows Users

  1. Open the Screensavers for PC folder.
  2. Select one of the grade level folders and double click to open.
  3. Double click the setup icon located in the selected application folder.
  4. When screensaver window opens, click the install button to install the screensaver.
  5. Choose yes to open the properties window.
  6. Set the desired amount of time for inactivity to activate the screensaver.
  7. Close properties window.

How to install images for wallpaper

Mac Users

  1. Click the Apple menu, highlight the Control Panel option and click on Appearance.
  2. Find the Image Directory folder on the installation CD and select any of the images.
  3. Click the set desktop button.
  4. Close the appearance window.

Windows Users

  1. Click the start button on the windows display bar, go to Settings and click the Control Panel button.
  2. When the properties window opens, click the Browse button.
  3. Find the Image Directory folder on the installation CD and select any of the images.
  4. Click the Open button.
  5. Close the properties window.
